We both had an amazing time in Cádiz and we, rather sadly, do miss it sometimes,
which seems silly after being there only a month. The course was great, but
what made it was all you people involved running it. We're both very glad
to have met all of you and will remember our time in Cádiz extremely fondly. I would like to thank you again for a superb experience on the August TESOL course. All the staff were professional in their approach and knowledgeable about their subject. I learnt such a great deal and felt supported and encouraged from the first day until the
last. I would highly recommend this course to anyone seeking a thorough training in the
basics of TESOL. Overall, I can’t imagine a better introduction to teaching English than we received during this course. I felt the tutors built up our confidence but gave us useful things to focus on in our teaching that corresponded to what we were learning in class. Ultimately it prepared me for starting to teach and there was a lot of help and advice in trying to find work after the course. I really enjoyed myself in a beautiful city and I feel much better about going into the professional world. I met some amazing people and I’m ready to get started on my future. Thank you for that. I do not feel I could have started teaching without it. Overall I found the course extremely challenging and can honestly say that I have learnt things that I have never come across when studying English through high-school, college or university! With this in mind I would recommend the course to others but with the caveat of 'go into it with your eyes open - it is four weeks of very hard work, not a walk in the park'. I have found this course an invaluable and completely positive learning experience. A really good course. The teachers are professional and approachable and the attendance of the moderator from Trinity gives the whole thing validity. A tough but rewarding four weeks. A credible course needs an element of stress; we have all survived and all feel as if we’ve achieved something big.
Tutors were very helpful and knowledgeable. I cannot believe how flexible you were and attentive to our needs especially at the beginning when we were all so needy. Fantastic course and tutors. Loved the atmosphere created by each in their own ways. I respected the tutors’ knowledge and felt that they could bring the volume down to the appropriate level but amp it up if challenged on a point. The tutors were fantastic, always ready to answer questions and help (whether your tutor or not) and most of the time were intent on lifting our spirits. The tutors were fantastic – professional and approachable, experienced and fun and obviously love what they do. I liked the fact that all tutors were very approachable and seemed to be concerned with our well-being.
I enjoyed the course and learned a lot about teaching in the process. I thought it was great to teach in two different levels and have two tutors with different ideas about teaching. I thoroughly enjoyed the input sessions and feel like I got some really good tips. Even when it came to grammar which I am familiar with I still got much from seeing Dani teach. Good luck with the next group! I appreciate how welcome I felt upon arrival and throughout the course. You all were genuinely concerned and helpful with my personal needs. The course is intense! But I think that the website accurately prepares you for this. I thought this was a wonderful course: although it required lots of hard work, I enjoyed all the new knowledge, teaching practice, lesson preparation. Really enjoyed the structure of the course – learn in the morning, teach in the afternoon and felt the workload and expectations were both appropriate. The course was said to be intensive but it wasn’t pointlessly so. The assignments were fantastic – well appropriated and chosen for the course. Learner profile was a great assignment. The month is intense and challenging and there is a lot of work involved but the tutors and the other trainees make it fun and you can always rely on them for support and a pep talk. Overall the course was beneficial to me. I feel equipped and confident for my future in teaching. I have seen advancements in myself and other trainees which is always good. I really enjoyed the course and the teaching styles in the input. The tutors were good at personalising and felt approachable about all subjects.
Accommodation was fab! I love Rosa and Antonio, I didn’t want to leave. They went above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks Jo! I really enjoyed the TEFL course and definitely made the right decision living in a flat with other students on the course, as it was nice to have such support when the workload was heavy. We were all pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation. The accommodation was of an excellent standard, very clean and well-located. Accommodation - the flat was great and made my experience much better. My host family was lovely, very friendly and welcoming and also flexible. A very enjoyable experience.
Careers – this was great and I feel a commitment is genuinely there to help me going forward. Jo’s career help was excellent. Thanks to the whole team.
I really enjoyed the course. The school is situated in the middle of the Old Town of Cádiz and it’s a lovely part of town.
I also like being in a smaller school – it was a much more intimate learning experience and the tutors always had time for you. Cádiz is an amazing place to hold this course, small enough to see a lot of and large enough to not get bored. Cádiz is a great place to study. Cádiz has been a great place to study and I’d definitely recommend it to people in the future. Thank you! I was impressed with the facility, great for this area.
Young Learners Extension Course Excellent course and completely necessary. I would definitely recommend it. This was helpful, not only for focussing on Young Learners, but also as a transition between the main course and work. A very practical and useful guide and a very important element to my month here. The course was really useful in providing perspective on young learners and giving techniques for helping us get started. I think everyone doing this course should leave with 10-20 games and activities that they understand and can use in the classroom. The course gave us really good ideas and a good understanding of how these age groups behave. The course provided us with lots of games, activities and lesson ideas for teachers to take away and elaborate on.
A brilliant course with lots of ideas, brainstorming and information. It leaves the potential teachers with much more confidence and certainty to go get it! The sessions were very helpful to ease concerns about what to do with a class and how to adjust teaching style or activities for this age group. A good course and really useful.
